Bridgeton Villas:
Since RSJ was given the apartment by the site management, churches have enjoyed the ongoing time they have been able to spend with the kids. We are looking forward to seeing how we can continue the relationships built this summer through the Sunday programs that will start up again in August. The summer program this year is running from July 7 through August 1 and will be supported by eight different churches. An addition to our spring/summer events at the Villas this year is a community garden that is being run by individuals from New Hope, Bethany Grace and Carll’s Corner Community Fellowship churches. The kids have had a blast coming out to help and it has been great for relationships. We are looking forward to offering some additional programs this fall if we can get enough volunteers to staff the apartment. We hope to offer some tutoring and classes to meet other basic needs.
